U12G Double Figures v Maidenhead

The girls welcomed Maidenhead to Headington for their last 11 a side match of the season yesterday, desperate to reverse the defeat they suffered away in November.

Little did they realise how comprehensive the reverse in fortunes would be. They completely dominated the game with strong tackling and a level of passing and high tempo that impressed the large group of supporters and their coaches alike. One coach spent the entire 60 minutes shaking his head in delighted wonder despite having to remain neutral as the umpire.
Goal machines Charlotte and Molly rattled up a good tally between them, the team voted Elsie and Alice as joint “Players of the Match” and there were great debuts from Imogen and Martha Stapley.
Biggest cheer of the day went to Bella though. She worked tirelessly throughout without getting a goal for 55 minutes and then got our last one to make 10-1. Very impressive display from the team !
