Oxford Brookes Sports Centre

Directions: Follow the signs to Headington/A40. At the Headington roundabout (on the A40) take the exit for Headington and City Centre. Go through Headington on the London Road and carry on towards Oxford City Centre. Go past the White Horse pub and then Headington Girls’ School on your right to the next set of lights. (Gipsy Lane is on your left). Carry on straight over the lights.

Oxford Brookes astro - the view from the benches outside the sports bar

After about 150 yards, look for a large stone wall and small gatehouse lodge, just past Pullens Lane, and turn right on the brow of Headington Hill into Oxford Brookes University’s Headington Hill site. Park in one of the car parking areas and then follow the signs to walk to the Centre for Sport. You need to cross over the main road that you turned off – there is a footbridge over the road. Cross the footbridge and keep walking until you see the astro ahead of you and the sports centre building on your left. There is a useful Oxford Brookes’ map here showing the walking routes – the Centre for Sport is towards the top left.

As well as changing rooms and toilets, the sports centre has a bar and cafe (with Sky Sports!) which parents are welcome to make use of while their children are playing or training.
